We greet the progress achieved by Bulgaria on its path to the Euro introduction. We encourage efforts continuation to meet all convergence criteria.

This is stated in an official statement of the Euro area Member States, made after the end of the two-day meeting of the European Council in Brussels where Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov participated.

‘Our progress with regard to the Euro area is indisputable. This progress that we have been reporting during the recent months, not a few did not expect at all to be realized.
